With a little planning and commitment, it’s possible to find the time to enjoy a vacation instead of staying home and working until you have to go back to your job. We all lead such busy lives these days, it seems like it’s virtually impossible, but it’s not. You can get the job done and have time for your family, too.

During the summer, daylight savings can be a big help. When our all too short vacation time approaches, we start thinking about what we’ll do with that free time. Do you really want to spend your vacation doing jobs around the house or would you rather go on a family vacation. If you spend as little as an hour a day for the week before your vacation cleaning up the yard, you can let it take care of itself while you’re enjoying your vacation.

Your McCulloch chainsaw can make short work of many jobs. You can cut back even the biggest tree limbs with it. Cut them to length and they’ll be seasoned and dry for you to use as firewood when winter comes.

Two chainsaws are even better than one. You don’t want to use your big saw for small jobs. They are more dangerous if you use them that way. If you’ve got a light, compact Poulan chainsaw, use that for the light work. Use the big one for cutting down that big dead tree in the middle of the yard.

While you’re outside doing all this, you can be cooking dinner at the same time. Throw a roast in the oven and put some rice in the stainless steel rice cooker. Just about the time you’ve finished your afternoon work, they’ll be done. All you have to do is add the vegetables and the family meal is cooked.

None of that was too hard, was it? It was probably a nice change from your daily routine, in fact. When vacation time rolls around, the payoff will be big, too. You’ll be able to enjoy your home during your vacation rather than look at all the jobs that need doing.

It will be good for the whole family. When they beg you for a day at the beach, you’ll be able to oblige and you will all have a great day out. If you want to throw the football around in the backyard, you’ll be able to, because that tree isn’t there anymore.

If you want to go away for your vacation, you’ll have extra time for it. Instead of fitting it in around your jobs, you’ll be able to get out of town early. Then you’ll have some time to relax at home before going back to your job.
