The windows are the most noticeable part of the house but is also one of the most ignored.What do I mean with what I said? Well we use windows everyday to bring in light or to look outside.  But what we overlook is how if they are old they are costing money.That is why in this article we are going to talk about some ways on how to save energy costs through our windows.

So first of all the most important part of this article is to realize what type of windows you have.  I tell all my prospective clients of my San Diego window replacement service to check their windows.I would want them to tell me if their windows are single paned or double paned.  If they are single paned you are wasting so much money and need to get them replaced immediately.

So why are you wasting money with single paned windows?Because those single paned windows are not energy efficient windows.  In the summer they keep your home warmer making you need more air conditioning. In the winter they keep your home colder needing more heat. So in both seasons you are using more energy then you need to be using.  The customers of my glass company San Diego are shocked to find this out but it is true.  So installing more energy efficent glass will save you money.

This may also be the case with your bathrooms although it may sound strange.You may save more on energy costs if you have a glass shower.  That is shocking to my clients of my San Diego frameless glass shower doors service as well.  But installing glass showers may give you more savings on energy.

So there you have the reasons why you are wasting money with older windows.  If you do have single paned windows you need to have them replaced as soon as possible.In the long run it will save you more money and offest the cost of purchasing the new windows.
